It Only Takes A Miniature...To Fall In Love

Ok, I sense a new direction for my blog...

In my last post, I told of the tale where I got my first Dolls House. I regaled about how it was the one that I had wanted, and that I have well and truly fallen in love with it.

What no-one told me was how addictive this all is...This wondrous world of tiny things!

Nor did anyone tell me that these houses seam to multiply when you're not looking!

LOL

I went from having my one -what I considered to be- large 3 storey Victorian shop, to having said Victorian shop, a four floor Edwardian townhouse AND an Edwardian Mansion!

ALL IN THE SPACE OF 3 WEEKS!

These should keep me busy for a while.

I asked my daughters if they would like to decorate a room each and they both jumped at the chance...So three houses became four!

I bought them a smaller house so they'd have more to do.
My oldest daughter has really surprised me, as she doesn't usually join in with craft stuff but she has also found a love for making small things, which warms my heart, as we now sit and do things together.

So this post is just to let you know where I am with this Blog, and the direction I want to take it.

There will be posts about my progress in restoring them, as well as video tutorials via YouTube, on making miniatures

XOXO

  1. I have been wanting to get a doll house for years. Now that my granddaughter is 2 I can justify getting one for "us" to play with soon! My dad made me a Barbie house when I was young and I would spend hours playing in it and rearranging all the furniture! I'm sure you and your girls have a lot of fun with your houses!

  2. I want to make the sink and drain board but I can't find the pattern for measurements. Where is it???
